The company Maxalonso was born out of the love of two brothers , Maximo Valdes and Jorge Alonso Valdes for each other and their passion for the art of jewelry making and design.
Together their craftsmanship and artistry led them to be top contractors in the NYC diamond district for elite designers while creating their own jewelry collections. In 2008 the brothers decided to take separate pathways preserving the company name Maxalonso under Jorge Valdes as Executive designer and craftsmen currently working at his studio in NYC.
“When I make a piece of jewelry I always pray in my own ways that it will make somebody happy when they wear it. Happy people better world, right?”
Jorge Valdes emigrated from Chile to the states in 1980.
His love for crafting with tools started at a young age . If you talk to Jorge he will tell you he can’t remember a time when he didn’t love to sit and create things.
Command over tool wielding started developing in his early teens creating beautiful pieces out of wood. His love for crafting and using his hands to create things out of materials took a new journey , the world of precious metals, diamonds and precious gemstones unleashed his gift of design and exquisitely handcrafted jewelry.
Authenticity of his art .
Jorge’s spiritual , loving and passionate energy flows from his hand throughout the process from the concept, to design, selecting the finest diamonds and gemstones culminating into an exquisite, precise, timeless piece of jewelry art.
Inspired by his love for nature, shapes and architecture, Jorge has an uncanny ability to store imagery as a visual library in his mind. The process begins as a personal visual download guiding him through from concept to fruition. Each handcrafted piece of jewelry is infused with joy, love and happiness whether a custom design or from his collection.
‘“I want to sell my jewelry to people who fall in love with the shapes and concepts whether it is a customized piece or one from my collection.
When the piece is completed and the buyer receives it the ultimate blessing for me is that my art will make someone feel connected to joy, happiness and love.”
